Katische was hired in the graduate recruitment scheme for Anderson Consulting, now known as Accenture. She spent time in the Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne offices and worked predominantly in the eCommerce Division in the financial services sector.

Katische moved to London to work with Illico, a seed funded wireless dotcom and worked in a business development role. The company was purchased by AirMedia in the USA and she moved back to Australia and began retraining and developed a career in the wine industry post due to the burst of the dot com bubble. 

Katische worked in many different wine regions for companies such as Casella, Pepper Tree Wines, Audrey Wilkinson Vineyards, Cassegrain Wines and Hungerford Hill Wines. She also had private marketing consulting clients.

She also worked as a university lecturer for Charles Sturt University and University of Southern Queensland, lecturing in the Bachelor of Business and MBA program in Marketing.

Self employed since 2006, Katische also ran the Riverina Breakfast Club in Griffith NSW, which provided local business with inspiring motivational speakers including Phillip DiBella, Louise Zimmerman, and other local and interstate business people and adventurous souls.
